A local desktop shell for the Roder agent harness.

Install Roder Desktop, open it in a repo, and give it real work: spawn parallel subagents, pick models from the full app-server catalog, keep threads on disk, and drive Terminal, Browser, Canvas, and Review from one window. Alpha software—signed builds ship today for Apple silicon and Windows.

What the desktop gives you

Same Rust harness as the CLI, wrapped in a workspace UI: threads, providers, subagents, panels, MCP, skills, and extensions without leaving the project folder.

Orchestrate subagents

Spawn parallel subagents from one thread. Watch Active/Done status in the Subagents panel, and see lifecycle chips inline in the transcript. Toggle agent-swarm mode when the task needs a crew.

Local-first desktop shell

An embedded `roder` harness binary powers every run. Threads are saved locally, including transcript items, workspace metadata, provider/model selection, and usage.

Workspace panels

Keep Terminal, Browser, Canvas, Design canvas, Review (changed files), Extensions, Files, and Subagents beside the chat—scoped to the project you opened.

Composer with skills and MCP

`$` completes skills, `@` targets MCP servers, plan mode and agent swarm sit next to the model picker, and voice, sketches, and file attachments ride with the turn.

In the product
